    Jan 11,  · Maurice Duruflé – French composer, organist, and teacher (d); highly critical of his own compositions, he only published a handful of works and often continued to edit and change pieces after publication; most famous work is the Requiem Op 9; he and his wife Marie-Madeleine were a famous and popular organ duo, going on tours.

    The second CD begins with another Handel organ concerto and includes some arrangements for organ of lively tunes originally written for other instruments, such as Clarke’s famous "Trumpet Voluntary" and Mendelssohn’s Wedding March from his incidental music for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a piece traditionally played at countless weddings.
